long time ago I post something

This is a portait of a good friend of mine.
I did this portait for the pixelbrush event "Faces of PB" at www.pixelbrush.net

I paint the bulb because it's an icon from one of his fav bands "Queens of the Stone Age".

All done in Photoshop.

I want to practise my skills a little bit, so this is the result... a little speed paint - if you still can call it a speedpaint, because I think I spend about 15 hours for this. XD

hope you like it ^_^ nothing else to say I think

Edit (05.07.07):
well the painting "come closer" (you can see it in Forum) was only a speedpaint. But I spend a little more time on it and changed some things.

Hope it looks a little bit better now. And I gave her a name btw

well... I quit counting the hours I was sitting on that. it was hard for me to do this because I proposed to myself a designated target and I wanted it to look like I imagined. I learned a lot during the painting process btw.

took some reference pictures from me with my cell phone photocam for the pose, my hand and other refs were, what my mirror gave me

done with a wacom graphire, most parts in painter, some parts in ps cs2.
